We had a
wonderful presentation from Melinda Bula the end of April, and here
are some of the photos. From left, some of the sunflowers from
Saturday's class; middle, our beloved Ms. Muller upon learning that
the coneflowers from Sunday's class weren't designed to be a bra;
right, the darling Ms. Mack observing said bra representation.

Here's gorgeous
Gayle modeling one of Melinda's sumptuous wearable art
pieces; darling Donna modeling a top, skirt and
jacket designed and made by Melinda; debonair Deb with another
colorful coat; and natty Nancy modeling a garment while Melinda
described her inspiration for the piece.

Next, some of Melinda's
botanical art quilts: greenery, Oriental poppies, hollyhocks, and
the "yellow house bruhaha" (she says to google this to learn more
about the story).

And finally, some of her more
"traditional" quilts: moored sailboats she saw and photographed
on vacation; a hand-quilted flower and basket quilt; and another
fabulous flower quilt (there's Linda Graeber doing a wonderful job
of holding all these quilts up). Thanks, Melinda Bula for sharing
your quilting genius and enthusiasm with us!
