OUR ANNUAL
PICNIC! This is always a great way to get
out and relax together with our families. The picnic will be
from 5:30-8 p.m. at Fuji Park, across from Costco. The guild
will furnish fried chicken, lemonade, iced tea, water, plates
and flatware, and the food line starts at 6 p.m. Please
bring a salad, side dish or dessert to feed 8-10 people.
Fuji Park does have tables, but you m ight also want to bring your own lawn chairs
or blankets to sit
on.
The picnic sign-up sheet
will be available at the June 23rd meeting. If you can’t make the
meeting and wish to attend, call Tammy Estill, 246-3517 with
the number of people attending and what you will be
bringing. The
hospitality committee will need to have a head count so they
can purchase the chicken and supplies and avoid any kind of
food fight, as quilters are wont to do. ;o)
The above photo is from the 2006 picnic ... taken
after the meal ... as quilters contemplate their next project,
or wonder where they can get that great new baked
bean recipe ... good times!
Since this replaces our
regular July meeting, the sign-up sheet for the August
refreshments will be available at the picnic.

GUILD MEETING. Norah McMeeking
will be the featured speaker and she'll present "Bella
Bella Patchwork" the story of how she designed the quilts
for her book of the same name.
"The talk is done on a
computer with lots of diagrams and photos of different
students' quilts, pictures of the floors in Italy, a few
jokes, and lots of information," she says. "The talk always
goes over 'gang busters,' if I don't say so
myself."
